THE DANGER OF MANIPULATIVE MINDS
One can never stress this too much. After all, for us humans, this is a most important issue. Each one of us has his or her own mind, and it’s a fact that our mind can’t stop existing, although it can, shall we say, be kept under control so as to prevent its evil influence from affecting us. Unfortunately, an individual is generally unaware of the fact that the mind can hide the true essence of man. And due to this lack of sensitivity, of awareness, the price one pays is too high. The human being has paid an elevated price for all this: aversion, inward conflicts, existential escape, and depression; the inability to forgive and put an end to urban violence, terrorist acts, guerrilla warfare and wars.
The truth of the matter is that we are, largely, manipulated by robotic minds, twisted minds, even sick minds. All this encourages the individual – deprived of an effective awareness – to be too influenced by emotions, erroneous thought processes, consequently preventing him or her from knowing the truth. And take heed, this absence of knowing the truth makes up one of the grave misfortunes of humanity.
In general, the large problem is that people, the ones that own their minds, have become the mind itself. This way, once again emphasizing the point, the person becomes susceptible to all kinds of manipulations. And thus manipulated, he loses his will power, has his sense of free will confused and ultimately, ends up a smaller being.
The human being needs to cultivate more and more faith, to practice meditation, to get closer to ones inner self by diving deep inside and, in the immensity of that inward silence, come to know what is the real truth – the opposite of illusion. And therefore he/she will be able to effectively own his or her mind in all its fullness, to be truly the owner of himself or herself, with the wonderful ability to spread what is good, and to live a happy and blessed life, contributing toward the existence of a much better world.

Interesting comments. Things seem to be getting worse. Machiavelli and Hobbes basically described us as wretched creatures and war is part of our dna. Spinoza, God bless him, had more optimism. It is what it is. Sometimes it feels as though all these refined thoughts and apperances we have designed for ourselves only mask a deeper rage that has always been with us - and will always be with us. How else to explain that man still goes to war out of fear and greed? We have taken it a step further. We have made things more complicated by wanting to go to war to make things better - altruism. Manipulative or not, it's in our genes. It's an impulse.
